If your not on the 1st or 2nd page of Google, the answer is "No".
Statistics show that 75% of people that do a local search on Google do not go past the first page of search results and 95% do not go past the second page.
As you can see from the above graphic, the paid results are only accounting for 3-5% of clicks…and they're paying for each those clicks.
It's the organic results that are getting 95% of the traffic and that traffic is FREE!

"SEO isn't easy. However, in an advertising world where very few things can be counted on, SEO is reassuringly safe."

It's important that your website ranks well in the organic search listings as this can bring you lots of quality traffic that is free of charge.
If you don't position your website to get on the 1st page of Google, your business is going to end up paying a lot more money for much less volume and quality of traffic.
There are two main area’s to focus on in regards to getting high organic search engine rankings.
On-page SEO
On-page SEO is technical in nature and should be applied to all of your websites pages. Websites are not optimized as a whole but rather one page at a time.
I'm not going to dig into great detail as to what is specifically done to each page but I am going to give you a good overall understanding.
Your on-page SEO should accomplish three core objectives:
1. Your website's code should be SEO friendly. By this, I mean that it should be well-coded and easily read by search engines.
2. Your site should have an attractive design and content that visitors find useful. This will encourage them to stay on your site for as long as possible.
3. The content of your website should be written around "targeted keyword phrases" that are likely to be entered in the search engines.
One on-page SEO tactic that isn't widely talked about is what’s called "Visitor Experience Optimization" (aka VEO).
Search engines have the ability to track how long the average visitor stays on your website and gives boosts rankings to sites that have a longer than average "visitor duration."
Makes sense, right?
If most of the visitors to your website visitors leave after being on your site for only a few seconds, it can be assumed that they didn’t find what they were searching for or they didn’t like what they saw.
Now, on the other hand, if your visitors stay on your site for a few minutes (or more), the search engines will give you a boost in the search engine rankings because it can be assumed that they found something that fit what they were searching for.
If your visitors found something that kept them on your site, your site is deemed to contain valuable content that others will find valuable as well.
This is one reason you should consider adding audio or video to your website, because multi-media can keep visitors engaged on your site for longer periods of time.
Off-page SEO
There are many off-page SEO tactics, but the most important is Inbound Links or Backlinks. Inbound links are links on other sites that are pointing to your website.
The more Inbound Links your site has, the better. The more authority those sites that have links to your site, the better.
The search engines figure in that if others like your site well enough to link to it, then it probably contains content that people are interested in.
